Ronald George

Dr. George has been recruited as the new Head of Obstetrical Anesthesia, he is from Nova Scotia and spent more than 15 years with the Dalhousie University Department of Anesthesia, Pain Management, and Perioperative Medicine. He most recently served as Chief and Professor of Obstetric Anesthesia with the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care at the University of California San Francisco. He completed a research/clinical fellowship in Women’s & Obstetric Anesthesia at Duke University Medical Center in North Carolina. He was a Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society Career Scientist Award recipient aimed at enhancing analgesia and anesthesia for women and high-risk pregnancies. He plays an active role in the #OBAnes global community. He currently is a member WFSA Obstetric Anesthesia Committee and the Secretary for the Society of Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology.
