Submitting your documents

The documentation packages for all new appointments at any academic rank should be submitted via Laserfiche, the faculty’s online system, by the deadlines indicated below.

Please note that any documents received after the stipulated deadlines will be deferred to the next Department Appointments Committee (DAC) meeting.

New recruits are encouraged to plan their submissions around these deadlines, to prevent delays. New academic appointments take approximately 3-4 months to complete, while those for Foreign-Trained Physicians can take 5-6 months.

To learn more about the appointment process, and for a list of the required documents can be found on the University of Toronto Clinical Affairs website.

Information for International Medical Graduates

Please note that to be eligible for CPSO academic certificate of registration foreign-trained physicians must be eligible for clinical full-time or (rarely) clinical part-time appointment at the rank of assistant professor or higher.

The details gathered as part of the appointment process will be used to inform the CPSO-mandated Confirmation of Academic Appointment form which will be completed by the Chair and submitted on behalf of the candidate by the Dean's Office upon approval.
