Teaching & Educational Expectations

The Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine is committed to excellence in teaching and ongoing educational support of our trainees and faculty. The professional growth and development of clinical teaching faculty are integral components of the success of our education programs.

All faculty members are expected to teach within the context of their provision of clinical care and engage in formal, scheduled teaching outside of clinical care delivery.

All faculty members are expected to demonstrate at least competence in teaching, and to strive for excellence in teaching.

All faculty members are expected to be receptive to feedback on their teaching and engage in faculty development and/or mentorship around teaching/education as required.
