Michael Dinsmore

Michael Dinsmore completed a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Saskatchewan and post-doctoral research and development on medical diagnostic biosensors using nanotechnology in both Vancouver and San Diego before returning home to Saskatchewan to complete his medical degree.  He completed his residency training in Anesthesia at the University of Toronto and a fellowship in Neuroanesthesia at the Toronto Western Hospital.  His research interests are in the advancement and development of new technologies in Anesthesia.  Specific research includes the development of novel Anesthetic equipment as well as 3D printed models for ultrasound education.  In addition, he is interested in the use of virtual reality to reduce anxiety during awake neurosurgical procedures.
