Learning Objectives:

1. Analyze the intersection of trust, systemic outrage, and advocacy to drive meaningful structural change within public healthcare systems. 
2. Apply structured communication and conflict-management techniques to de-escalate tension, misunderstandings, and high-conflict situations in real-time OR scenarios. 
3. List the unique clinical and systemic skill sets of anesthesiologists that position them as ideal healthcare change agents 
4. Identify specific leadership pathways for involvement across departmental, institutional, provincial, and national tiers.

We will observe a two-minute silence in observance of Remembrance Day. We invite all attendees to pause from their sessions and reflect on the sacrifices made by veterans and active service members.

Participants will have a choice of attending one of the following:

Workshop A "The DoAPM Leadership Launchpad" with Drs. Ahtsham Niazi, James Helman, Devin Singh, Carl White-Ulysse, Natalie Clavel, Nicole Kuchinsky 

Learning Objectives: 

1. Recognize the strategic framework of The Dr. Vincent and Anne Chan Professorship in Faculty Leadership, held by Vice Chair of Education Dr. Ahtsham Niazi, in advancing departmental programming and establishing the DoAPM Leadership Launchpad ecosystem.  
2. Describe the operational pillars of the Leadership Launchpad to accelerate personal career growth, including: i) The Leadership Community of Practice (CoP):Engaging in peer-mentorship and continuous collaborative learning; ii)Departmental Initiatives: Accessing dedicated bursary support, CME funding, and targeted professional growth opportunities; and iii)The Digital Resource Repository: Sourcing university-level, provincial, and national leadership certificates and degree pathways. (e.g., CFD, CPD, OMA, CMA, OA, OHA, CSPL, CCHL).  
3. Evaluate the real-world operational impact, time commitments, and career utility of recommended leadership tracks by analyzing first-hand testimonials and case studies from departmental faculty graduates (e.g., NEAL, MBA, MHA, QIPS, HSLI, M.Ed, Education Scholars).  
4. Formulate a proactive 3-to-5-year strategic career roadmap tailored to specific academic ranks (junior vs. senior faculty) and institutional focus areas (Quality Improvement, Administration, Medical Education, or Research streams). 
    

Workshop B "From Fellowship to Practice: Accelerating Your Licensure, Exam Success, and Program Feedback" with Dr. Sanket Agrawal

Learning Objectives: 

1. Navigate the specific administrative, regulatory, and documentation milestones required to secure and transition through independent Canadian and Ontario medical licensure (CPSO).
2. Construct a targeted, high-yield study timeline and preparation strategy specifically mapped to the format, performance standards, and clinical competencies tested by the Royal College exam.  
3. Identify localized departmental and institutional support structures, study groups, and practice viva resources available within the DoAPM to optimize exam readiness.  
4. Engage in an open, two-way programmatic dialogue during the Fellowship Town Hall to provide constructive feedback on curriculum, clinical volume, wellness, and the overall fellowship experience.
