Dr. Jeremy Halpern is an anesthesiologist and educator. In 2021, he was nominated for the prestigious Bernard Ghert Award, recognizing his dedication to exceptional patient care. He is also a skilled educator, having created a learning module on opioid physiology and pharmacology for the University of Toronto, and received the Young Educator Award from the University of Ottawa in 2018.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Halpern has demonstrated exceptional achievements, including being on the Dean's Honour List with Distinction and receiving the Faculty of Science Gold Medal for the highest GPA at York University. He has also been awarded the Student Opportunity Trust Fund Science Award, further highlighting his excellence in science.

Beyond the classroom, Dr. Halpern has served as a CARMS interviewer for the Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine at the University of Toronto and a file reviewer for the University of Toronto medical school admissions, providing him with valuable insights and expertise in the selection and training of future medical professionals.
