Dr. Hew-Wing was born in Jamaica, and immigrated to Canada in 1978. He did his undergraduate degree at University of Toronto and completed his Medical Degree and Anesthesia specialty at University of Saskatchewan and University of Ottawa. He completed a fellowship in Obstetric Anesthesia at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Hew-Wing has served as a staff anesthesiologist at Scarborough General Hospital for over 30 years.
