Dr. Jean Wong is currently an associate professor of anesthesiology at the University of Toronto, and staff anesthesiologist at University Health Network and Women’s College Hospital in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her research interests are in ambulatory anesthesia and perioperative medicine including perioperative smoking cessation, obstructive sleep apnea, and blood conservation for orthopedic and spine surgery. She is a member of the Scientific Update Subcommittee and the Newsletter Committee of the Society of Anesthesia and Sleep Medicine. She is the current chair of the ambulatory section of the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society. She is also a member of the Annual Meeting Committee and Newsletter Committee of the Society of Ambulatory Anesthesia. She has over 40 peer-reviewed publications.
