Dr. Wong is an anesthesiologist with subspecialty training in cardiac anesthesiology and intensive care. He also holds a National Board of Echocardiography Diplomate in advanced perioperative transesophageal echocardiography. He has a University of Toronto academic rank of assistant professor and contributes to the clinical teaching of cardiac anesthesiology, critical care, and perioperative transesophageal echocardiography. He also collaborates with my University of Toronto colleagues in cardiac anesthesiology-related research.

 

Dr. Wong is currently the program chief and medical director of anesthesiology at Trillium Health Partners. He also holds the position of physician lead in the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit and is chair of the Pharmaceuticals and Therapeutics Committee. Dr. Wong also participates in other committees at Trillium Health Partners involving the perioperative program, blood transfusion, cardiac health program, and cardiac surgery operations. His past positions held at Trillium Health Partners include president of the Professional Staff Association, ex-officio member of the board of directors, and chair of the Credentials Committee.
