Ilavajady Srinivasan
MD(Anes), FRCA, FRCPC
Dr. Srinivasan’s clinical practice is currently full time pediatric anesthesia, particularly focused on perioperative regional analgesia. He also has an active interest in clinical management of adolescents undergoing bariatric procedures.
Dr. Srinivasan is also the director of the pediatric anesthesia fellowship program at SickKids, with an annual intake of 10-13 fellows. He is also currently involved in Canada-wide pediatric anesthesia competency based education and curriculum development.
Research Synopsis
Dr. Srinivasan’s current research focuses on pediatric regional blocks; his previous work includes studies on upper airway muscle activity in children and role of preoperative gabapentin in patients undergoing posterior spinal fusion.
