Dr. Deric Diep is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan College of Medicine and completed his postgraduate medical education in anesthesiology at the University of Ottawa, as a member of the first Competency by Design cohort in Canadian anesthesia residency training. He then completed a clinical fellowship in cardiovascular anesthesiology and critical care medicine at St. Michael's Hospital. His clinical and academic interests are in cardiac anesthesiology, transesophageal echocardiography, POCUS, and resident and fellow education.
