Dr. Teja obtained his Bachelor of Science, Major in Physics from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec (2007) as well as his Medical Degree and Master of Business Administration (dual degree) from Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire, United States (2013). He completed his internship in general surgery and his residency training in anesthesia at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, United States (2018). He then completed his fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Toronto (2020). Dr. Teja is a staff physician in anesthesiology, perioperative medicine and critical care medicine at St. Michael's Hospital. He is also completing a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Toronto.

 

Research Synopsis

 

Dr. Teja's research is focused on strengthening capital investment in Canadian Healthcare, improving perioperative outcomes, and optimizing the use of vasopressors for patients with septic shock. Dr. Teja has received funding for his research from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Sunnybrook Critical Care Foundation and the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Medicine at the University of Toronto.
