Arun Govindarajulu Prasad

Dr. Prasad obtained his basic medical degree (MBBS) and a diploma in Anesthesiology (DA) in India from Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai. He completed further training in UK and received the FRCA and CCT from Royal college of Anesthetists and GMC, London, England respectively. During his CCT, Dr. Prasad completed a fellowship in Regional Anesthesia and acute pain management at Toronto Western Hospital, Toronto, Canada. He then obtained his FRCPC from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
Since 2008, Dr. Prasad has been working as an assistant professor at department of anesthesia, University of Toronto and a staff anesthesiologist with special interest in ultrasound guided regional anesthesia at Toronto Western Hospital. During this period he has conducted research in ultrasound guided nerve blocks & ultrasound for airway assessments. He has done extensive teaching in local, regional and national workshops and conferences on ultrasound guided regional anesthesia. Dr. Prasad also lead the Ambulatory anesthesia fellowship program at Women's College Hospital, University of Toronto, with a significant focus on ambulatory regional anesthesia.
