This prestigious award honours Dr. Doreen Yee's legacy as the inaugural Program Director of Fellowship Programs in the Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto from 2009-2023. Established in 2024, it recognizes outstanding educators who exemplify the commitment to fellowship training and education. This award is presented annually to a faculty member who demonstrates exceptional teaching and mentorship of fellows.
Nomination criteria may include and exhibits:
Sustained excellence in clinical teaching, lectures, and seminars over at least two consecutive years
Innovative approaches to enhance the learning environment and fellow wellness
Significant contributions to improving the fellowship program curriculum or structure
Active engagement in educational committees or administration
An embodiment of professionalism and role modelling for fellows
Demonstrated impact on fellows' academic and professional development
