The Toronto Anesthesia Cycling Club (TACC) successfully participated in the 2023 Bike for Brain Health event on June 4, 2023. Team "CycloFlurane," consisting of 15 dedicated members including residents, fellows, staff, and partners, came together to support this important cause.
During the event, the team proudly donned their matching jerseys, showcasing their team spirit and their commitment to brain health. Under the warm, glorious sun, the cyclists embarked on their journey along the Don Valley Parkway (DVP) and the Gardiner Expressway, accompanied by over 9,000 other enthusiastic participants.
Team CycloFlurane successfully raised an impressive $3,215.00 for the Baycrest Foundation. The funds raised will be utilized to support research, innovation, and care related to brain diseases. The team's contribution will undoubtedly make a significant impact in improving brain health and raising awareness about related issues.
Reflecting on the event, organizer, Sean Leung expressed his gratitude, saying, "A huge congratulations to everyone who came out to ride. We are thrilled to have been part of this incredible event, and we can't wait to do it all again next year!
The enthusiasm and camaraderie displayed by the team truly embodied the spirit of the Bike for Brain Health event."
