Dr. David Mazer receives the 2019 CAS Gold Medal Award

Dr. David Mazer, a professsor and anesthesiologist at St. Michael`s Hospital, was awarded the 2019 Gold Medal from the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society (CAS).  The Gold Medal Award recognizes excellence and leadership and is the highest honour bestowed by the CAS.  Dr. Mazer will be honored at the CAS Annual Meeting, which is held in Calgary on June 21-24, 2019.

Dr. Mazer’s leadership and dedication as a researcher, clinician and teacher has been exemplary.  He has published over 180 peer-reviewed manuscripts, including reports in high impact journals.  He has been invited to present more than 200 lectures and professorships, and has contributed to the development of clinical guidelines.  His work continues to have a profound impact on patient care.
