Dr. Alison Macarthur is the new Deputy Head, Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management, Mount Sinai Hospital

Congratulations to Dr. Alison Macarthur on her new role as deputy head, Department of Anesthesia and Pain Management, Mount Sinai Hospital, Sinai Health. The role takes effect immediately.

Alison has served as the interim deputy head since January 2023. She is a graduate of medicine from the University of Alberta, completed her anesthesia residency at McGill University and a MSc in Epidemiology/Biostatistics from the University of Calgary.  Following a career in obstetrical anesthesia with a recent focus on increasing capacity for women's health in low-resource settings, she now turns her focus to the her role as deputy head for a 5-year term.
