Dr. Rami A. Kamel finished his medical degree from Ain Shams University Faculty of Medicine in Cairo, Egypt. He then completed research fellowships at Harvard Medical School and the University of Toronto, where he stayed and finished his anesthesia residency training, earning the Fellowship of the Royal College of Canada. Dr. Kamel went on to complete a Pain Residency at McMaster University, and earned another Royal College sub-specialist designation.
Dr. Kamel enjoys teaching ACLS courses as a faculty at the Sunnybrook Advanced Life Support Program. He is passionate about clinical education and is currently pursuing a Clinician Educator Program formation at McMaster University.
Dr. Kamel holds a staff appointment at Scarborough Health Network as an anesthesiologist. He also holds the academic appointment of Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University Faculty of Health Sciences. He is also a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine in Ohio. Dr. Kamel's research interest is in Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and his area of clinical focus is Complex Regional Pain Syndrome.
