Mike Tylee is an Anesthesiologist and Intensivist at Toronto General Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.  He completed his residency training in Anesthesiology in 2014, and completed the 2-year Adult Critical Care Medicine program in 2016.  He trained in cardiac anesthesia at Toronto General Hospital, and obtained certification in perioperative transesophageal echocardiography the same year.  He joined the Sunnybrook Department of Critical Care Medicine in the summer of 2017, and joined the Anesthesia Department at Toronto General in November 2017.

Dr. Tylee was admitted to the MSc program in Clinical Epidemiology at the Institute for Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation (IHPME) in July 2016, and successfully transferred to the PhD stream in the spring of 2018.  His research interests are physician-patient communication and perioperative advance care planning.
