Toronto Anesthesia Sports Day 2023
The Toronto Anesthesia Resident Council is calling on you to once again represent your hospital sites at the annual Toronto Anesthesia Sports Day. For the second time in history, we will be hosting a sports competition to see which site will claim the glory of the Golden Laryngoscope, which currently rests peacefully in the anesthesia lounge at Mount Sinai Hospital.
This is an official University of Toronto Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine event organized by the residents.
Events
Join your hospital team and take part in sporting events, including:
- Tug-of-war
- A backyard sports relay race
- Dodge ball
- Soccer
There will also be spike ball! Teams will also compete as part of a fundraiser.
Lunch and light refreshments will be provided as part of your admission fee.
Why Participate?
Sports Day is a fun way to socialize and get to know one another outside of the OR while indulging in some friendly competitive spirit. Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting events organized by the Toronto Anesthesia Resident Council for the resident body. This event will also be an opportunity to give back. As was done in previous years, we will be hosting a fundraiser for the Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society International Education Foundation (CASIEF), an organization that supports the development of safe anesthesia care in low and middle income countries (LMIC). Learn more by watching a highlight reel from last year's event.
