Summer Research Assistant (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in Healthcare)

Project Description 

We are seeking a highly motivated student to join our team as a Summer Research Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting a structured literature review to determine strategies for increasing equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in healthcare. The position will involve scoping, narrative or systematic literature reviews, and developing strategies based on the literature review.

In addition to the literature review, the Research Assistant will create a questionnaire using RedCap and analyze data if time permits. They will also contribute to the development of an abstract for presentation, apply to the research ethics board for the qualitative study of EDI strategies, and assist with the preparation of a journal article for publication.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in healthcare and a passion for increasing equity, diversity, and inclusion in the industry. They should have excellent research skills and experience with literature reviews, data analysis, and survey development. Strong writing and communication skills are essential, as the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to academic publications and presentations.

This is a full-time summer position, available for 10–12 weeks. The position offers an excellent opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in healthcare (i.e., Medical Student) or research to gain valuable experience and contribute to a meaningful project.
