Being a Mentee
This workshop is for those wishing to maximize the potential benefits of their existing and future mentoring relationships. There will also be on a focus on strategies that can be utilized to obtain mentorship to best meet one's evolving career development needs. The session will include a review of the core concepts of mentoring in an academic context and will engage participants in individual, small and large group work to further develop and apply these concepts.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
Describe the elements and goals of effective mentoring relationship
Develop and enhance the skills required of a mentee to establish and maintain a mentoring relationship
Identify a variety of models that can be used to obtain mentoring
