Dr. Alan K. Laws Travel Fellowship

The Laws Fellowship was established by the family, friends and colleagues of Alan Laws in his memory. The fellowship will be awarded annually to provide support and encouragement for senior residents and fellows in the Department of Anesthesia to further their academic interests during their training period at the University of Toronto. Suitable applications will include funding to assist with travel expenses to other university sites to take courses, see innovative educational programs, or work with educators/researchers in related areas. The award will be presented at the Annual Shields Research Day on May 3rd, 2019

Who should apply:  Senior residents (PG4 and PG5) and fellows in UT Department of  Anesthesia.

How to apply:  Write a brief outline (1 page maximum) of the intended use of the travel fellowship (including when it will be undertaken) and submit via email to the Chair, Department of Anesthesia c/o Brenda Bui (chair.anesthesia@utoronto.ca) Attach an up-to-date version of your Curriculum Vitae. The Education Council will review all applications.

When to apply:  by Friday, April 19, 2019

Special Note:  The award is designated for travel expenses incurred between July 1/2019 and June 30, 2020
