On behalf of the Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, congratulations to Dr. Benjamin Weingarten, who has been named the distinguished resident recipient of the Dr. Raynauld Ko Anesthesia Postgraduate Clinical Excellence Award for 2025-2026. This prestigious award recognizes residents who demonstrate exceptional clinical competence and compassionate, patient-centred care.

In addition to his clinical excellence, Dr. Weingarten has distinguished himself through academic achievement and leadership, contributing numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations, earning teaching awards, and serving in chief resident roles across multiple sites. As he prepares to enter his PGY-5 year with plans to pursue further training in cardiovascular anesthesia, he continues to exemplify the qualities of a future leader in the specialty.
